Capoeira is a Brazilian art, recognised by the UN as a World Heritage Site Humanity. Its history, music, instruments, physical exercises, coordination motor skills, muscular endurance, flexibility, concentration, companionship and discipline come together developing individual resilience, social interaction, self-confidence and expanding mental and bodily capacity.
MISSION: Using Capoeira as a tool for the development of the psychological, physical and social aspects of all those who practice it, including people with any type of disability and/or in a state of vulnerability, as well as spreading it in all its cultural, musical and artistic fullness.
Tutor – Renato Scapin
Renato is a Bachelor of Physical Education and Specialist in Psychomotricity. He has been teaching Capoeira since 2005 to children and adults as well as people with motor disability.
Renato is the author of the project “Capoeira at school, the art of teaching while playing” and creator of the workshops “The Capoeirista’s body as a tool for Modern Dance”.
Renato has been holding workshops since 2009 and “Maculelê” workshops since 2020.
