Why not dazzle your friends and family with your own handmade bag?! Come along and learn how to create a fab tote or shopper bag! While Beginners busy themselves with a fancy tote and tissue holder, Improvers work on a crossover bag!
Course fee includes a kit which will contain everything you need to make your bag, no need to worry about cutting out patterns – it will be all done and waiting for you!

(Memory/Gift) Box Making Workshop
3.5 hours
All materials included in course fee, all tools & equipment available in class

Join us for our box-making workshop and create a truly unique & personalised gift/memory box! This is the perfect way to mark and remember a special occasion such as a wedding, new arrival, christening, birthday, anniversary – the list is endless! Use the kit provided to create your own treasure chest to fill with memories & keepsakes or to make a statement gift box for Christmas or any special occasion!

Pottery - Surface Decoration Workshop
8 hour workshop, runs over 2 Saturdays
Sat 17th September 11-5 (Mono-printing, Textures & Decals) & Sat 1st Oct 1-3pm (Glazing).
Suitable for Beginners/Improvers
Work will need to be collected the following week/collection date could be Saturday morning/weekday evening
All materials, firing & glazing included in course fee
Students will need to bring lunch for Sat 17th
€95** /€75 for Donahies CS Adult Education Pottery students.
Our surface decoration day workshop will cover three different types of surface decoration. This workshop is open to beginners as well as those who have worked with clay previously. Each participant will make at least three different pieces, which will then be dried and fired in the kiln. Two weeks later, participants will return to the classroom and apply a final layer of glaze to seal their pieces before they enter the final kiln firing.
The workshop will cover:
● Monoprinting
The transfer of your own painted images onto the surface of clay.
● Decals
Applying underglaze printed imagery to forms hand built by students .
● Surface Texture
Creating foam textured rollers to create an embossed pattern on the surface of the clay.
