CAKE DECORATING & SUGARCRAFT

Learn a variety of cake decorating techniques in this 7 week course.
Cake decoration uses icing and other edible decorative elements to make otherwise plain cakes more visually interesting. Cakes can also be moulded and sculpted to resemble three dimensional objects.
A variety of cake decorating techniques will be covered in this 6 week course. you will learn the correct technique of decorating a cake and make a variety of cake toppers such as teddy bears, small animals, baby items, flowers, festive and occasion cakes and much more.
Within weeks of commencing the course, students will be able to create professional looking cakes for a range of occasions. Past students have gone into the professional cake decorating business.
A relaxing, creative way to spend a Wednesday afternoon!
Materials including a dummy cake included in course fee as well as use of equipment

I'm Valentina, your cake decorator teacher!
I started studying cookery in the Italian famous cookery school “il gambero rosso” in 2006. Following completion, I joined the professional Chefs school “A tavola con lo Chef” learning all secrets of food and its preparation specialising in Pastries.
When I moved in Ireland in 2008, I started working as a pastry chef in well-known Galway restaurants, then I moved into the capital to work in the finest and high standards kitchens. I studied Culinary Art at DIT, and I achieved a PME Professional/Masters Diploma Course in Cake Decorating.
I set up my own business The Pink Bakery in 2014, based in Malahide.
